FAITH IN THE EARLY HOURS
Finding purpose before the workday begins.
BEFORE THE FIRST SHIFT
There is a particular kind of quiet before a workday. The streetlights are still on. Coffee is brewing. Somewhere, a crew is already on the road.
For many working people, those early hours are not glamorous. They are necessary — and often deeply meaningful.
The work may look different from one trade to another, but the decision is familiar: show up, be dependable, and give the day your best.
WORK AS AN ACT OF SERVICE
Colossians 3:23 reminds believers to approach their work wholeheartedly.
That does not mean every shift will feel extraordinary. It means the ordinary things deserve care: a clean weld, a safe repair, an honest estimate, a promise kept.
Good work serves the next person in line.
A mechanic helps a family get home. An electrician makes a building safer. A driver carries what a community needs.
The impact often reaches further than the person doing the job can see.
A FOUNDATION STRONGER THAN THE DAY
Some days go well. Others bring delays, weather, mistakes and unexpected calls.
Faith does not erase the hard parts, but it can give them perspective.
Your worth is more than the number on a paycheck or the praise you get at the end of a job.
Start with gratitude. Work with integrity. Take care of the people beside you.
Go home knowing that the way you worked mattered.
